Oil and Gas Construction Projects
Reviews should be at an appropriate level of detail, checking each system and using the appropriate information to make item-by-item checks.
The following information should be available during the review:
- Plot Plans/Layouts
- PFDs/P&IDs (as far as available);
- Reviews/Studies e.g. Constructability, Maintenance/Access, Lifting, Transportation;
- Fire safety studies;
- HSE reviews;
- List of agreed Codes and standards;
- Level of completeness of model (listing of clashes) and quality of catalogues.
Model Reviews may be carried out at the following stages:
30% – focus on accessibility, safety, layout, ergonomics and construction.
60% – focus on engineering, commissioning, operations and maintenance. (60% review should be carried out prior to issuing piping isometrics for construction).
90% – focus on commissioning, operations and maintenance (before Mechanical Completion).
